Timothy J. Harrington

tim_harrington_bizfit.jpg - 35.31 KbA career focused in learning and mentoring, Tim Harrington has worked in secondary education, post-secondary education, and privately developing community learning centers in New York, California, Georgia, and Arizona where he has focused on curriculum design, organizational development, strategic planning, and leadership mentoring. Harrington is actively involved in community development, designing academic programs for emerging career fields, and cultural growth. He lives in Glendale, Arizona with his wife, Anne and their two sons Taylor and Chase.

Harrington has worked in education since 1986, where he has served as teacher, mentor, administrator, and coach. Most recently, he served as Dean of Academic Affairs for The Art Institute of Phoenix where he was responsible for leading the academic affairs departments, registrar office, and learning resource center in all aspects of day-to-day operations, professional development, and strategic planning. He currently teaches design and drafting, game theory, and educational leadership for ITT Technical Institute, DeVry University, and Grand Canyon University, respectively.

Harrington has enjoyed coaching and mentoring naturally throughout his academic career. Tim joined the professional/personal coaching community in November, 2004 in order to fulfill a lifelong ambition of providing greater one-on-one mentoring to individuals and companies striving to grow through operational improvement and personal commitment. He has served as a sports coach, youth coach and coach trainer, mentor teacher, administrator, leader, advisor, and instructor.

Harrington has worked with companies in the entertainment and digital media fields to shape curriculum designed to meet the growing need of visual communications, digital arts, animation, game design, and visual effects industries. He has worked closely with personnel development departments, hiring departments, engineering teams, and industry leaders in defining curriculum that would prepare a digital workforce for the future.

Tim holds a Masters of Art in Education from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Arts Education from The State University of New York at Oswego. He has completed coursework toward a doctorate in education leadership through Argosy University.

Leah Vanpoelvoorde

Leah Vanpoelvoorde has been an executive and business coach, facilitator and consultant for over a decade. She coaches corporate teams, managers and entrepreneurs to maximize their innate wisdom, illuminate their passions, and create a powerful plan to manifest their ideals. This process allows clients to increase their energy and productivity and reduce stress resulting in an abundance of freedom, time and money.

Utilizing this approach, for instance, Leah has impacted teams that have exceeded revenue goals by 200%, as well as increased productivity by 90% over a 10 month period.

As the Western Region Operational Resource Director for MENTOR National Healthcare, Inc. she developed and delivered leadership and management training to managers and supervisors. Leah has produced performance appraisal and management curriculum for Community Psychological and Education Services (CPES), an Arizona-based Human Services Organization. She is currently on retainer with the company for ongoing individualized coaching and team building with higher-level managers within CPES.

Leah holds a Master of Science Degree in Communicative Disorders, and is a published author in the field. Her entrepreneurial spirit has resulted in two U.S. Patent Applications to date. She is a graduate of Coach University and is a member of the International Coach Federation.

She serves as a volunteer coach for the Self Employment Loan Fund (SELF) as well as a Board Member of SELF.
